Until yesterday when the servers went down and have been down for almost 2 days now. Granted it was an ice storm and things happen, especially with nature. Yet, aren't there backup generators powerful enough to keep servers online?

GVO is experiencing an outage at our Schertz Datacenter because of severe weather: There is ice everywhere which is very unusual for South Texas. It could be (WE DON'T KNOW UNTIL THEY COME) as simple as a crack in the fiber line from all the cold and heavy ice. We are very sorry about the issue. Texas has not seen a storm like this in 50 years. 1. Fuel trucks were not allowed on the road at all by law 2. Companies said no to dispatching techs because roads are like skating rinks. 3. Even the local grocery store was open for 2 hours with minimal staff. 4. 80% of homes in San Antonio are are on and offline with power.. You can see that here https://outagemap.cpsenergy.com/ This is heart breaking, the last time our server room went offline was about 7 years ago when a backhoe from a lot of new construction in our business park accidentally cut our fiber line. It is suppose to warm up tomorrow, weather permitting all the right people will be on site to fix our fiber. From the bottom of all our hearts we are doing our very best to get us back online.
