Pair Networks is the best host I have found after many awful hosting companies
I have a web design company which offers hosting as one of the services. I cannot tell you how many customers' websites and emails I have moved from o...
ther TERRIBLE hosts (one in particular is the worst, let's just say it starts with G and ends in y). I started with maybe 20 hosted domains/websites with Pair and have expanded to well over 100. Each time I needed to move to a larger server (I currently have a dedicated server) their sales team had the right solution. The support team each time was super helpful and supportive with the various moves/increases in space and RAM.
Whenever I need support, they are easily reachable by phone or email and their support team is extremely knowledgeable; I am quite techy but they are even more so. Any issues (and there are few) are resolved quickly and any questions answered .
I have been hosting with Pair for over 10 years and they continually improve over time. For example, they added malware scanning as part of a hosting package in the last year or two. Their Account Control Panel is built in-house and is so much better than the usual cPanel setup which is bloated with never-needed options. All the server infrastructure and software is kept up-to-date (unlike other hosts) both versions and patches, so problems don't occur there. Their domain registration at Pair Domains is also well worth using; it's the only registrar - and I've had to deal with many for my clients - that actually makes phone calls if your domain needs renewal and they cannot contact you by email! That's been a lifesaver for a couple of my clients as they would have lost their domain(s) otherwise.
No complaints. My business continues to expand and I will continue to stay with Pair Networks.
A2 Hosting is a complete scam. Stay away from them. Firstly, they are expensive and don't give anything like free domain and unlimited subdomains whic...
h others like Hostinger does. I took A2 Hosting's hosting package in November 2023 on a Black Friday sale but still got an expensive deal. I hosted my sites on their maximum limit of three subdomains. In August end 2024, I emailed them saying I wouldn't be renewing their hosting in November 2024 and deleted my credit card details from their site. Within 24 hours I got a bunch of emails saying my account had been terminated for violation of some TOS. Apparently, 9 months after I hosted my websites, they found evidence of phishing just after I had emailed them saying I won't be renewing in November. So as revenge they did not allow me to use their hosting services for the next three months although I had paid for 12 months. They are plain cheats and scammers. I regret using their services and plan on reporting them to regulatory and enforcement authorities.
Pair is one of those hosts that sells unlimited bandwidth shared hosting. Then, you will have a bandwidth limit. Go over it and your site is shut down...
. Thats it for this month. No notice, just shut things down. They have no legal or technical understanding. They shut my sites off on a cease and desist. They freaked out rather than do what anyone else does, say "there is no obvious problem here, you need to sue the account holder" thats what everyone else does. Pair just shuts things off. SO if you want to shut down a PAIR site. Pretend you are a lawyer. You wont need letterhead, just send them an email pretending you are a lawyer. Dont worry about drafting, because it doesnt even have to look legit. Bammo, you can shut down any competitor on pair. and Pair will say "one we get that notice you have to sue the sender to get your site back on". No kidding ... its bad.
No Cpanel. Email only support (was never able to get anyone on phone). Fast but generally buck passing and with attitude. They should pay for Cpanel because their own interface is circa 1994 and quite bad.
Overall they wasted my time and it would be funny if not for the wasted time.
